Madison Visionary is a Black Autistic multimedia artist, painter, and poet who lives with Chiari Malformation 1 and Syringomyelia. She views stimming as a vital part of the creative process and creates from the safety of her bedroom/art studio that serves as a sensory sanctuary replete with a stimming closet, a multitude of layered fidgets, weighted blankets, and white noise. Her work (Stim Well : Heart Art) speaks to what it means to think in terms of textures and live gently within disabled spaces.
